Privacy Policy
SmartAppetite Corporation dba Compyle Environmental (“we”, “us”) operates https://www.compyleenvironmental.com. This policy describes what we collect when you use the site or order services, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written for the United States; we do not knowingly serve consumers outside the US.
What we collect
- Information you provide: name, company, email, phone, property addresses and details, transaction details (loan type, lender, needed-by date), messages, and authorization records (signer name, title, email).
- Property data: parcel records and public regulatory and historical records about properties you ask us to assess, obtained from public sources and licensed data providers.
- Usage and device data: pages viewed, referring pages, advertising click identifiers (for example Google’s gclid) and campaign parameters, IP address, browser and device type, and how you use our pages and forms.
- Google Analytics, with Google signals and its advertising features, measures visits, form steps and the requests that reach us.
- Google Ads measures which ads lead to requests and shows our ads to people who have visited our site (remarketing).
- Microsoft Clarity makes session recordings and heatmaps of the pages you visit, including clicks, mouse movement and scrolling. Clarity recordings capture everything shown on those pages and their web addresses, including our request confirmation and status pages and the details you entered when they are shown back to you. Clarity masks only the characters typed into form fields.
- Google Analytics and Clarity receive the choices you make in our forms (for example the report type, property type, size range, timeline, how you found us and the quoted price) and an opaque request identifier, and Clarity also receives your request reference. Google Analytics never receives your name, email address, phone number, street address or messages.
- Necessary storage remembers your order draft and analytics preference, and our own cookies remember how you first reached us and the last Google ad you clicked, for up to 90 days.
- Communications: emails and text messages you exchange with us, and calls, which may be recorded for quality and record-keeping with notice.
How we use it
- To respond to requests, confirm scope and pricing, perform and deliver the services, invoice, and maintain project records (including reliance and authorization records we are required to keep).
- To contact you about your request by phone, email or text message. See our SMS terms.
- To operate, secure and improve the site, measure use of our pages and learn which campaigns and ads bring requests. For US visitors, including US territories, Google Analytics, Google Ads measurement and remarketing, and Microsoft Clarity recordings are on by default unless you opt out. Visitors outside the US, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and visitors whose location we cannot determine are asked first: nothing is measured or recorded until you accept, and accepting turns on Google Analytics, Google Ads measurement, ad personalization and remarketing, and Clarity recordings. We use a country estimate from our hosting provider to apply these defaults. When you send a request, we save the ad click identifiers, campaign details and the Google Analytics and Clarity visitor identifiers from your visit with your request, and label the Clarity recording with your request reference, so we can see which ads and pages led to it. We may tell Google Ads which ad clicks led to signed work. When you send a request, we also share a hashed (one-way encoded) copy of your email address with Google so it can match the request to an ad click (enhanced conversions). For ad measurement, Google receives your email address only in hashed form.
- To comply with law and professional standards, including retaining project files.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that host our site and data (Vercel, Supabase), run our CRM and email (HubSpot, Resend, Google Workspace), phone and messaging, property data (Regrid, Google Maps), and spam protection (Cloudflare).
- Analytics and advertising partners: Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads) and Microsoft (Clarity), as described above and below.
- Field personnel, laboratories and licensed subcontractors who need property and contact information to schedule and perform site visits and surveys.
- Reliance parties you name (for example your lender or the SBA) receive the report and related correspondence.
- Authorities where required by law, and successors in a business transfer.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some state privacy laws may treat our use of Google’s advertising features and Microsoft Clarity as selling, sharing or targeted advertising; you can opt out of that use by turning measurement off in Privacy settings, and Global Privacy Control turns off Google’s ad personalization and remarketing (see Your choices). We use these Google Analytics advertising features: Google signals, remarketing, and demographics and interests reporting. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies to show our ads on sites across the internet based on your past visits to our site, and Google Analytics cookies and Google advertising cookies are used together for this and for Google signals reporting; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out of personalized ads from Google in My Ad Center, and of many vendors’ use of cookies for personalized ads at optout.aboutads.info or optout.networkadvertising.org. Microsoft collects information through Clarity and, as an independent party, may use it for its own purposes, including to provide and improve Microsoft Advertising, as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. We tell Clarity not to use advertising storage. Clarity sets the _clck and _clsk cookies on our site.
Text messages
If you give us your mobile number or text us, we use your number and the messages we exchange only to communicate with you about your request or project and to keep a record of your consent and opt-out choices. We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or text message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share them only with the service providers that run our phone and messaging service, or when required by law. Reply STOP to any text to opt out. See our SMS terms.
Address search and spam protection
As you type a property address, we send the address search to Google Maps Platform to suggest and confirm addresses. Google processes this information under the Google Privacy Policy. We retain the address you select for your request and its place identifier, but do not retain Google’s suggested-address lists or detailed location response. Cloudflare Turnstile processes browser and device signals to protect our forms; see the Cloudflare Privacy Policy and the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
Your choices
- Text messages: reply STOP to any message to opt out.
- Marketing email: use the unsubscribe link; transactional messages about active orders continue.
- Cookies and analytics: open Privacy settings in the footer to turn measurement off or on. Declining, or turning measurement off, stops Google Analytics, Google Ads measurement and remarketing, and Clarity recordings in this browser, and removes the cookies they set on our site and our own attribution cookies. Cookies Google or Microsoft set on their own domains are controlled through your browser and their settings. A previous decline stays in effect; automatic US operation does not record an acceptance on your behalf. We honor Global Privacy Control as an opt-out of ad personalization and remarketing: when your browser sends it, we turn off ad personalization, Google signals and remarketing and ask Google to restrict its processing, while website analytics and conversion measurement, including your hashed email address for enhanced conversions, continue. Microsoft Clarity’s own script does not record browsers that expose the signal to web pages. To turn all measurement off, including Clarity, use Privacy settings. We do not respond to the older Do Not Track signal. Turning measurement off does not prevent you from using our services. An explicit choice lasts six months in this browser. You can also use your browser controls; Google’s opt-out add-on disables Google Analytics.
- Access, correction and deletion: email hello@compyleenvironmental.com. California residents may exercise CCPA/CPRA rights by the same route, including the right to opt out of sale or sharing (see Cookies and analytics); we will verify your identity and respond within the statutory period. We do not discriminate for exercising rights.
Retention and security
Project files, reports, authorizations and related correspondence are retained for at least the period required by our professional standards and insurers (typically no less than seven years). Website and analytics data is retained according to each provider’s settings. We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable providers, but no system is perfectly secure.
Children
This site is for business use and not directed to children under 16.
